Dr. Jatin Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He has devoted his career to patient care and the management of rheumatic diseases. As the founder of Arthritis & Rheumatology Center, P.C., in Georgia, he began the practice 13 years ago with the intention of offering patients attentive, thoughtful medical care. The center has grown to include seven locations across the state: Canton, Cumming, Kennesaw, Lawrenceville, Roswell/Alpharetta, Suwanee/Johns Creek, and Woodstock. He provides care at both the Roswell/Alpharetta and Cumming offices.
Dr. Patel specializes in Osteoarthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Scleroderma, Vasculitis, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, and Platelet-Rich Plasma therapies. His interest in these fields helps guide the center’s services to support people living with a wide range of complex conditions.
He works with individuals to develop treatment plans grounded in clear communication and clinical knowledge. By focusing on each patient’s unique health concerns, he creates an environment where people feel supported in managing their care.

Dr. Patel and the Arthritis & Rheumatology Center team are dedicated to diagnosing and treating a range of rheumatologic conditions. The practice covers Ankylosing Spondylitis, Bursitis and Tendonitis, Gout, Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (Wegener's), Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, Myositis and Metabolic Myopathy, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, Sjogren's Disease, Soft Tissue Disorders, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, and Vasculitis.
Dr. Jatin Patel and his colleagues have built the center into a complete outpatient medical facility. Services include infusion treatments, a CLIA-certified lab, X-rays, MRI, clinical trials, and an in-house dispensary. This comprehensive approach helps patients receive most of their care in one place.
The availability of these resources supports convenience and continuity of care. By offering diagnostics and therapies in one setting, he makes it easier for patients to access treatment and manage their health.
Recognized for His Work
Patel has received several professional honors, including being named Alpharetta’s Best Doctor in Rheumatology 2017 and Castle Connolly Best Doctor 2023. In 2012, he earned the first grand prize in the American College of Rheumatology Image Competition, out of 175 entries. This annual, peer-reviewed event highlights clinical images that contribute to the ACR Image Library and receive recognition at the ACR Convergence meeting.
He continues to share clinical knowledge and support advances in rheumatology through participation in such initiatives.
His Academic and Research Contribution
Dr. Patel has authored clinical research articles in national and international journals. He has also presented research at meetings for the American College of Physicians and at workshops organized by the American College of Rheumatology.

Dr. Patel’s Education
Dr. Patel completed his medical studies at C.U. Shah Medical College in western India. He completed his internal medicine residency at Jersey Shore University Hospital in New Jersey. He later completed a Rheumatology fellowship at Drexel University/Hahnemann Hospital, where he focused on both clinical care and research in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. His research has been published and presented at medical conferences. He also holds a Certification in Registered Musculoskeletal Sonography.
He values the role of education and research in improving both patient care and professional practice.
Making a Difference
Patel donated $150,000 to the Boston Children's Hospital lab in 2015 and 2016 in support of clinical research and trials. In 2025, he gave $5,000 to the National Psoriasis Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of people with psoriatic disease.
He continues to support efforts that advance clinical research and help patient-focused organizations achieve their goals.
On the Personal Side
Dr. Jatin Patel was encouraged by his parents, both physicians, to pursue a career in medicine. Early experiences accompanying his father on house calls showed him the impact that thoughtful care can have on patients and families. These moments played an important role in shaping his interest in medicine.
Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and parents. After moving to Georgia, his family came to appreciate the state's natural beauty and welcoming communities. His interests include running, traveling, watching soccer, and exploring different foods.
